We are a full-service dealership, offering complete sales, parts, and service departments fully staffed with factory-trained professionals. With over 10,000 parts in inventory for all makes and trucks, we can fix your transportation needs today.

Our service technicians have current training on International trucks and engines, Cummins engines, Alison Transmission, and Bendix air systems as well as certification in opacity testing.

Our History

For over 60 years, Commercial Truck Company has served the agricultural and industrial communities of Monterey County with International truck sales, parts and service; in addition, we offer support for every commercial truck make and application.

On July 7, 1950, Peter Arnaudo founded Commercial Truck Company at 703 Abbott Street in Salinas, California. Before starting his own business, he enjoyed many years of experience in selling and servicing all types of commercial trucks. His son, Pete, joined the company in 1974.

Paul Arnaudo, Pete’s son, has joined him in running the company. They remain in the original location, serving the Salinas Valley and maintaining the successful business philosophy that Peter created.

Founder

Peter Paul Arnaudo, Sr. Born October 29, 1918 in Santa Clara, CA, Peter came to Salinas in 1936; his first job at the Cominos Hotel as a garage mechanic. Pete served in the United State Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater. In 1944, he married Alyce R. Wall of El Cerrito, CA with whom he had two children, Shirleelynn and Peter. He has owned and operated Commercial Truck Company in Salinas for the last 54 years with his son entering the family business in 1974. Pete’s legacy Continues with his grandson. Happiness was his business and close visits with cherished friends, Pete’s joy in life was his family as well as gardening.
